Megan Thee Stallion Opens Up About Feud with Nicki Minaj

Megan Thee Stallion has broken her silence regarding the ongoing feud with Nicki Minaj, which has been making waves in the rap world. In a recent interview with Billboard, the “Hot Girl” rapper addressed the situation, which escalated earlier this year when she released the track “Hiss.” The song features the now-infamous line: “These hoes don’t be mad at Megan, these hoes mad at Megan’s Law,” a reference to legislation requiring public access to information about registered sex offenders.

Nicki Minaj, whose husband Kenneth Petty is a registered sex offender, seemingly took the lyric as a direct jab. Minaj responded with a diss track titled “Big Foot,” an apparent reference to the incident involving Tory Lanez, who was convicted of shooting Megan in the feet in 2022.

In her Billboard interview, Megan expressed confusion about the source of the conflict, stating, “I still, to this day, don’t know what the problem is. I don’t even know what could be reconciled because I, to this day, don’t know what the problem is.”

Despite the drama, Megan is staying focused on her own path. “I’m going to keep doing what I’m doing,” she continued. “If people feel like I’m somebody to aim at, then I must be pretty high up if you’re reaching up at me. That makes me feel like I could rap because if I wasn’t the shit, y’all wouldn’t be worried about me.”

In other news, Megan Thee Stallion is gearing up to host the MTV VMAs for the first time, set to take place on September 11 at the UBS Arena in New York. She’s also nominated for five awards, including Best Collaboration with GloRilla for “Wanna Be” and Best Hip Hop for “Boa.”

Her latest album, Megan, dropped in June to rave reviews.

Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj has her own legal issues brewing as a fan has reportedly sued the rapper for $5 million, citing financial and emotional damages.
