TopHit dropped the Top Spotify Hits Global Monthly Chart of August 2024
Jimin undoubtedly delivered the best breakthrough on Global Spotify in August 2024. He took second place with more than 250 million streams. The only artist ahead of him was Billie Eilish with her long-running hit Birds Of A Feather, whose charm remains undiminished.
The top new releases included three collaborations. Charli XCX and Billie Eilish climbed the highest, securing eighth place with their hyperpop/electroclash track Guess featuring Billie Eilish. The track racked up over 130 million streams.
The top 10 also featured English-language hip-hop from Indian artists Hanumankind & Kalmi, as well as the enchanting song Die With A Smile, an elegant duet by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars. Just recently, the Venice Film Festival hosted the premiere of the new movie Joker: Folie à Deux, in which Gaga plays Harley Quinn, the devoted companion of the Joker. In the film, Joaquin Phoenix and Gaga sing together frequently, evoking memories of Fred Astaire and Judy Garland.
Well, here are the top five most spun tracks of the month on Global Spotify:

5. Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido - Karol G
Last month, 84% of tracks on the air were in English, 14% in Spanish, with Pop, Power Pop, Singer/Songwriter and R&B reigning as the most popular genres.
