As summer hits its peak, Mariah Carey is already preparing for the festive season with a newly announced North American Christmas tour. Revealed today (August 2), the iconic pop star is set to bring back her celebrated Christmas extravaganza later this year.
The tour, featuring 20 shows across the United States, will kick off on November 6 at the Yaamava Theatre in Highland, California. It continues two days later at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Another California show is scheduled for the Acrisure Arena in Greater Palm Springs on November 13 before Carey heads to Arizona, Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, Illinois, and more throughout the month.
The festive tour extends into December, starting with a performance in Washington DC on December 1. The latter half of the dates includes stops in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Maryland, North Carolina, and New Jersey, wrapping up with two shows in New York. The final performances will be at the UBS Arena in Belmont Park on December 15 and the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on December 17.
Tickets will be available for purchase starting Friday, August 9, at 10 am local time.
Produced by Live Nation, this tour promises to be Carey’s most spectacular holiday event to date. It also marks the beginning of celebrations for the 30th anniversary of her iconic album ‘Merry Christmas’, released in 1994, featuring the timeless hit ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’. Fans can expect a mix of classic holiday songs and beloved hits from her extensive catalog.
In other news, Mariah Carey was shortlisted for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame class of 2024 earlier this year. She also recently completed a Las Vegas residency in April called ‘The Celebration of Mimi’, honoring her 2005 album ‘The Emancipation of Mimi’ with a series of eight shows.
