Dua Lipa, the global pop sensation known for her irresistible dance floor hits, has always kept her personal life out of the spotlight — and she’s not changing that approach anytime soon. In a candid 60 Minutes interview with Anderson Cooper, the “Levitating” singer addressed criticism that her music lacks personal depth.
“It’s something that I just naturally hold back,” Lipa shared. “Some people are just so ruthless with their own private life that they decide to put it all out in a song because they know that it’s going to attract people’s attention. For me, it was always important to make music that people really loved, not because I was putting someone on blast or because I’m doing it for clickbait at someone else’s expense.”
Her strategy is clearly paying off. Dua’s third studio album, Radical Optimism, has become a fan favorite, debuting at the top of the Official U.K. Albums Chart and peaking at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 — her highest chart position to date.
Looking ahead, the pop star is preparing for an epic 43-date world tour in support of Radical Optimism. The 2025 tour kicks off March 20 in Melbourne, Australia, and will travel through New Zealand, Europe, and North America. With stops in major cities like Paris, Berlin, Milan, and London, the tour promises to be a must-see event for fans worldwide.
