Deftones Announce 2025 North American Tour with The Mars Volta

Brace yourselves, Deftones fans—Chino Moreno and company are hitting the road again! For the first time since 2022, the alt-metal legends are embarking on a full-scale North American headline tour, kicking off in Portland on February 25, 2025. The tour will roll through major cities like Seattle, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Austin, Nashville, and New York before wrapping up in Boston on April 8. Along for the ride? The always mind-bending The Mars Volta and rising post-hardcore outfit Fleshwater as special guests.

This announcement comes after a packed year for Deftones, who dominated festival stages at Coachella, Primavera Sound, and Lollapalooza, and even shared a massive sold-out stage with System Of A Down and The Mars Volta in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park.

As if that weren’t enough, Deftones have been teasing new music for months. Guitarist Stephen Carpenter confirmed in September 2023 that the band was “starting to work on new material” for a full-length album, expected to drop in 2024. Chino Moreno also provided an update, stating the album is “pretty much done musically” and that he’s currently finishing up the vocals. No official release date has been announced, but Moreno’s promise of an “invigorated” sound has fans more hyped than ever.

The Mars Volta, known for their unpredictable and experimental energy, have been making headlines of their own with some controversy surrounding their connections to Linkin Park’s new vocalist, but that hasn’t stopped them from joining Deftones on this highly anticipated tour.

So, get ready—2025 is shaping up to be a massive year for Deftones, and this tour is just the start. Stay tuned, because the new album is coming, and it’s gonna be big.
