The Prodigy Announce 2024 Disrupta UK Tour

The Prodigy, pioneers of electronic dance music, have just announced their 2024 ‘Disrupta’ UK tour, kicking off on December 13 at Bridlington Spa. Known for their high-energy performances and game-changing sound, the tour will see them tearing up stages across the UK, including two back-to-back nights at Manchester’s iconic The Warehouse Project, followed by a show at Wolverhampton’s Civic Hall.

To close out the tour, The Prodigy will play a three-night residency at London’s O2 Academy Brixton, with the final two nights turning into late-night raves, wrapping up at 1 AM. These after-hours shows are sure to attract nocturnal ravers looking to experience The Prodigy’s legendary live energy in full force.

Jaguar Skills will join the tour as the opening DJ on all dates, while Radio 1's Jack Saunders is set to make a special guest appearance for the final two Brixton nights.

“We never turn down the chance to play the UK and our righteous home Brixton Academy,” shared Liam Howlett, Prodigy's creative force. “We’ll be there armed with a sonically fresh attack. Let it disrupt ya…”

The band earned acclaim for their “gloriously unhinged, carnivalesque rave-up” performance at this year’s edition of Reading festival with NME sharing: “This is a glossily produced and sensationally life-affirming gig. In Flint’s absence, Maxim carries the show almost entirely himself.”

Howlett previously opened up about what it was like to return to Reading and Leeds without Flint. “After losing Keith we couldn’t even think or talk about the band. I think it was two years after his death that me and Maxim started bringing it up. ‘Could we play live again? Did we even want to? Why? How?’ All that shit.

“We realised the only possible real way to know how we would feel was to do it: get back on stage and do a bunch of gigs. It was so hard to walk onto that stage without our brother, but we really felt the crowd with us. Those gigs were highly emotionally-charged but we came out the other end with our answer.

He went on to say: “That was summer 2022 and here we fucking are: loud and proud!”

The band also paid tribute to late Keith Flint while playing ‘Firestarter’ at Reading. Flint died by suicide on March 4, 2019. He was 49 years old. While performing the track, the band beamed a laser outline of the late singer on stage that moved in time to the music.
