Camila Cabello is ready to keep the momentum going with an exciting expansion of her latest album, C, XOXO. The pop star took to Instagram to announce the release of a brand new single, set to drop this Friday, September 6, along with the expanded Magic City Edition of the album.
In a short, sultry video clip, Cabello teased fans with a snippet of the upcoming track, captioning it, “i wish you well, but far away from me.” The Magic City Edition promises to bring even more stories to life, with Cabello adding in a follow-up post, “Always more stories to tell. Some new songs for your night in Magic City.”
Released in June, C, XOXO has already made waves, with tracks blending emo, reggaeton, and melancholic club beats.
Beyond her music, Cabello has been making headlines with her candid takes on the music industry. Recently, she addressed the ongoing feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, sharing her frustration over how people sometimes misjudge those they don’t truly know. Speaking fondly of Drake, who collaborated on two tracks for C, XOXO, she said, “It’s so frustrating to see people talk about someone you know in a way that is negative. You’re like, ‘Dang, if only you guys could just have dinner or something.’”
Reflecting on how she managed to land the Canadian rapper as a collaborator, Cabello revealed that it all started with a simple DM, saying, “It’s like a weird teenage thing where I feel that nobody cares about me or likes me. And it was fun to be proven wrong.”
Fans can look forward to seeing Cabello light up the stage alongside Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter at the 2024 VMAs in New York on September 11.
