Robbie Williams Teases New Album and Bold Ventures into Hospitality and Fashion

Robbie Williams is set to make a grand return with new music, but that’s not all he has in store for fans. At a recent screening of his biopic Better Man in the U.S., the pop icon revealed that a new album is on the horizon, with an announcement expected soon. The film, which chronicles his meteoric rise to fame with Take That and his solo career, premiered at the Telluride Film Festival on September 2.

But music isn’t the only thing keeping Williams busy. The singer also hinted at ambitious plans beyond the stage, including the construction of luxury hotels, launching a clothing line, and even diving into the drinks industry. “I am building hotels, I want to build a university, I have got my own clothing line coming out, I have got drink, I am going to be busier than I have ever been,” Williams shared, indicating that his entrepreneurial spirit is in full swing.

This isn't the first time Williams has mentioned his hotel aspirations. Last year, he revealed on the Brydon & podcast that he was inspired to create his own hotel after an overpriced breakfast in Las Vegas. His plans for Dubai are particularly ambitious, aiming to create a residence specifically catered to artists like himself.

“I was in the Wynn Hotel in Vegas doing a residency. I remember waking up and being charged $240 for breakfast. And it was like two croissants, a bowl of bran flakes and a coffee and I was like, f**k off,” he said (via MailOnline).

“And I got really angry and then I was just like, I’ll build my own hotel. That was the thought from getting angry about this breakfast costing too much,” he added. “I then thought Dubai and then I thought, actually, there are no residences for artists like me in Dubai. And then I thought, ah, that’s interesting, I’m going to do that. I’m going to start that. So that sort of idea and that level of ambition lights a fire underneath my arse… I dreamed this big, what happens if I dream even bigger? And at the end of that is money, but it’s not the primary driving force behind the reason to do it.”

As for his upcoming album, fans eagerly await what will be his 13th solo studio release, following 2019’s The Christmas Present
