Welcome to TopHit! The main artist of July on Spotify was predictably Sabrina Carpenter. The American pop star had two mega-hits in the top five most popular tracks of the month, with the highest position held by the sunny pop banger Espresso. However, the singer couldn't claim the number one spot on the track chart, as Billie Eilish captivated the audience with her elegant composition Birds Of A Feather , which has over 250 million streams.
The main new releases came from Karol G, Jimin, and Sevdaliza. The most unexpected success was achieved by the track Alibi. The Dutch alt-pop singer of Iranian descent, Sevdaliza, who previously recorded well-respected albums influenced by Bjork and Portishead, made a fashionable collaboration in 2024 with Brazilian drag queen Pabllo Vittar and French R&B/trap artist Yseult. The result was an inventive and hypnotic track that blends reggaeton and Brazilian funk, which shot up on Spotify. Alibi has over 100 million streams and debuted at the 18th position.
