Katy Perry Unveils Tracklist for New Album 143 with Sun-Kissed Single "Lifetimes"

Katy Perry is heating up the summer with the release of her latest single, "Lifetimes", and the reveal of the full tracklist for her upcoming album, "143". Dropped last night (August 8), "Lifetimes" is the second taste of Perry’s new album, following the release of last month’s lead single, "Woman’s World".

"Lifetimes" is a sun-drenched, house-inspired anthem that perfectly captures the essence of summer. Accompanying the track is a vibrant music video directed by Stillz, known for his work with Bad Bunny. Fans of Perry are in for a treat, as the video includes a sneaky Easter egg: the complete tracklist for "143" can be seen briefly on a billboard behind Perry at the 33-second mark.

Perry collaborated once again with Dr. Luke (Lukasz Gottwald) and Vaughn Oliver to bring "Lifetimes" to life, continuing the partnership that produced ‘Woman’s World’. In a statement, Perry shared that the song was inspired by her three-year-old daughter, Daisy, whom she shares with fiancé Orlando Bloom.

“‘Lifetimes’ is all about eternal love—finding that deep, lasting connection,” Perry explained. “For me, that love is my daughter. Every night, I ask her, ‘Will you find me in every lifetime?’ and she always says, ‘Yes.’ That feeling of being found, again and again, is what this song is about.”

"143" marks Perry’s first full-length album since 2020’s "Smile". The pop star has recently faced some criticism for the music video of "Woman’s World", with fans suggesting it catered more to the male gaze than challenged it. Perry, however, defended the video as satire, saying, “We’re just having fun, being a bit sarcastic. It’s very slapstick and on the nose.”

In other news, Perry has shown love to Charli XCX, praising the singer and her ‘Brat’ culture phenomenon, calling her a “super mega pop star.”
