The buzz started with journalist Jason Hardwick, who claims to have some juicy insider info from Rihanna’s camp. He confidently stated, “Rihanna’s ninth album is finally on the cusp of being released.” If his sources are accurate, this means fans are not only getting the album they’ve been dreaming of, but also one of the most epic comeback tours of all time. Hardwick even hinted that Rihanna might headline Glastonbury in the near future—a legendary stage that she was supposed to conquer in 2023 before her second pregnancy postponed the plan.
Rihanna herself has been notoriously private about the new album’s rollout, keeping details under wraps. But in a recent chat with Entertainment Tonight, she admitted that returning to music has been like discovering it all over again. “Music, for me, is a new discovery,” she said. “I’ve been working on the album for so long that I put all that aside. Now I’m ready to get back in the studio.”
However, fans were thrown a curveball in June when Rihanna revealed she was starting the album from scratch. “I’m starting over, but I don’t want to neglect the songs I already have,” she mentioned. “I want to listen to everything with new ears.
