Sexyy Red Cancels Tour Dates Amid Rumored Low Ticket Sales

Sexyy Red has unexpectedly canceled several dates on her upcoming "Sexyy Red 4 President" tour, sparking speculation that low ticket sales might be to blame. Initially announced in July, the tour was set to be a major headlining event for the rapper. However, rumors soon surfaced claiming that only 37.11% of the 85,217 available tickets had been sold, according to sources like The Art Of Dialogue and Touring Data.

Despite Red’s earlier denial of these claims—where she assured fans that “we’re doin’ just fine” and dismissed the cancellation rumors as “cap”—several shows have now been quietly removed from the itinerary. This includes last night’s scheduled show in Seattle (August 22), as well as upcoming dates in Portland and Oakland. The tour is now set to kick off on August 24 at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena, with no explanation yet provided for the changes.

This cancellation follows a growing trend in the music industry where artists, including The Black Keys, Helmet, and Lauryn Hill with The Fugees, have been forced to scrap or downsize tours due to low ticket sales. Rising touring costs have also played a significant role, with acts like Rachel Chinouriri and The Armed citing financial pressures as reasons for pulling out of scheduled performances.

Even established acts are feeling the pressure, with The Chemical Brothers revealing they skipped the US because “the costs have gone up so much.”

In the midst of the tour drama, Sexyy Red has also been busy launching her new beauty line, Northside Princess. The line has already made waves with its provocative product names, including "Coochie Juice," "Bootyhole Brown," and "Pussyhole Pink." Red continues to make headlines, both in and out of the music scene, showing no signs of slowing down.
