Drake Denies Sending Cease-and-Desist to Kendrick Lamar

This weekend, the internet was buzzing after music manager Wack 100 made explosive claims that Drake had sent a cease-and-desist letter to Kendrick Lamar over the track “Not Like Us.” According to Wack 100, the Toronto rapper had allegedly tried to prevent Kendrick from performing the song, even involving the NFL to block Lamar from taking the stage. The claims were made in a chatroom on the Clubhouse app and quickly went viral.

However, those rumors have now been debunked. A representative for Drake reached out to Rolling Stone, stating that the rumors are “not true,” while another source clarified that there was “never any intention or plan” to send such a legal notice to Lamar.

Earlier this year, Drake found himself on the other side of legal drama after receiving a cease-and-desist letter from Tupac Shakur’s estate. The letter demanded that Drake pull his AI-assisted diss track, “Taylor Made Freestyle,” which featured a simulated version of Tupac’s vocals. Drake complied and swiftly removed the song from streaming platforms and his social media accounts.

Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar has been announced as the headliner for the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show. Lamar took to social media to share the news, telling fans, “Meet me in New Orleans, February 9, 2025. Wear your best dress, even if you’re watching from home.”

In addition, Lamar recently dropped a new single titled "Watch The Party Die,” which is currently unreleased on streaming platforms.
