Bring Me The Horizon Celebrate One Billion Streams in UK

Bring Me The Horizon have just reached a massive milestone, racking up over one billion streams in the UK, and they’re now in a close race to top the UK album charts. Yesterday (October 1), frontman Oli Sykes was awarded a prestigious Billion Award by the BRITs, following the band's achievement of hitting one billion streams.

Celebrating the news on X/Twitter, the BRITs shared a photo of Sykes holding the award, captioning it: "Following their first ever BRIT Award win earlier this year for Best Rock/Alternative Act, @bmthofficial receive their BRIT Billion Award for hitting one billion streams in the UK."

This victory comes on the heels of the band’s latest album POST HUMAN: NeX GEn, which dropped in May. The record exploded in popularity, gaining over 70 million streams in just its first week and making BMTH “the most streamed rock band on the planet” at the time of its release.

BMTH are now fighting for the top spot on the UK album charts, currently in a close battle with Shed Seven’s Liquid Gold. At the midweek stage, Bring Me The Horizon are just 600 chart units behind, and with the release of elaborate physical formats of NeX GEn, the band could claim the Number One position, which would mark their third UK Number One album.

In an earlier conversation with NME, frontman Oli Sykes described the theme of the new album as a battle between light and dark, reflecting the internal struggles and challenges the band navigates through their music.

In other news, Bring Me The Horizon are set to perform at Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park 2025, joining heavyweights like Slipknot, Biffy Clyro, and Sleep Token at the legendary German festivals next June.
