Slipknot fans, mark your calendars: the masked heavyweights of metal are storming across Europe in summer 2025! The tour launches at Sweden Rock Festival in Sölvesborg on June 4, before Corey Taylor and the crew rip through Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and Denmark, wrapping things up with major appearances at Barcelona's Rock Fest and Viveiro's Resurrectionfest in Spain.
The anticipation around Slipknot is doubled with talk of their long-shelved album Look Outside Your Window. Recorded during the All Hope Is Gone sessions in 2008, the album is described as a unique, "super experimental" project that diverges from the band's typical sound. Corey Taylor recently revealed that the delay in releasing Look Outside Your Window has partly been due to his own packed release schedule, but promised fans that the much-awaited album would finally be out next year.
“It doesn’t sound like anything Slipknot have ever done,” Taylor shared. “It’s incredibly melodic and beautifully different. The music is so beautiful, it probably has some of my favourite melodies that I’ve done, and people are really going to dig it. Clown did a really good job.”
Meanwhile, Slipknot percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan has continued to fuel excitement about Look Outside Your Window. In a Reddit AMA earlier this year, Clown hinted that the long-awaited album is almost ready to be unveiled. “The only reason ‘Look Outside Your Window’ has not come into this reality is because it is a timeless album that allows it to be presented at anytime. Up until now things we’ve been doing has been taking priority. It has to come out, I promise it will come out soon,” he wrote.
As Slipknot prepare to conquer Europe and finally release Look Outside Your Window, they’re also hinting at new music on the horizon. Clown recently teased that the band’s next chapter will be their most spiritual and widely received yet, especially with the addition of Eloy Casagrande. “So, I feel like it’s gonna be — not that anyone has not liked or liked what we’ve done, I’m just saying I have a feeling this one is much needed for everybody. And I think it’s gonna be widely accepted. So I’m very excited,” Clown said.
