U2`s next album `10 Reasons To Exist` in careful creative process
U2 fans looking for a quick fix in 2013 are going to be disappointed. Frontman Bono has said that the band`s next album could take quite some time.

The Dublin superstars` new album has a tentative title of `10 Reasons To Exist,` and thematically seems to run in tandem with the band`s need to remind themselves of their mission in music. That`s not to say the boys have lost their chops, however - speaking to The Sun, Bono said: "U2 have been back and they`re really in fine fettle."

He added: "They’re mad for it at the moment and they really want to make a new record. And they don’t care if it takes 10 years – they don’t care if it never happens again, they just want to get it right. Within the band we’ve been calling it `10 Reasons To Exist` – but I will tell you we might have at least six of them."

Last July, Bono made some promising comments about the band`s creative progress, tantalizing fans with the news that U2 had the "best three weeks in the studio" in over three decades. While insisting that there`s "no sense of entitlement" amongst the band, Bono shared that "We`ve had the best three weeks in the studio since 1979," he said. "I think they [the other band members are very aware that U2 have to do something very special to have a reason to exist right now."

Bono`s been busy the past year catching up on personal time with his family, though he wasn`t above taking to the streets of Dublin on Christmas Eve with Glen Hansard to do a little caroling - watch the video.

Meanwhile, U2`s The Edge has launched a Hurricane Sandy relief fund through his Music Rising charity, which he founded with Gibson Guitar CEO Henry Juszkiewicz and producer Bob Ezrin, to provide musical equipment and financial support to musicians, schools and community organizations affected by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Now its focus is on Hurricane Sandy and the desperate need tens of thousands of families have for basic necessities.
