England’s Football Stars Reveal Their Training Jams

Ever wondered what beats fuel England’s top footballers as they train? Well, wonder no more. The lads from the men's England football squad have spilled the beans on the tracks that keep them moving during their grueling training sessions.

Appearing on BBC’s Football Daily Podcast, the players shared their current favorite tunes. Cole Palmer, for instance, has been vibing to “Choppa” by Lil Baby and Byron Messia. Meanwhile, both Ezri Konsa and Bukayo Saka are all about Tems’ “Love Me Jeje.” Saka even confessed, “Such a vibe, man.” Asked if it’s his pre-match anthem, Saka replied, “Listening to it pretty much every day.”

Phil Foden is hooked on the new fan chant “Phill Foden’s On Fire,” a clever remix of Bruce Springsteen’s “Dancing In The Dark.” “I think I’ve got that on repeat, it’s stuck in my head. Every time I turn up to the stadium and hear it, it’s, yeah a surreal moment,” Foden shared, clearly buzzing about his dedicated fanbase.

Ivan Toney is jamming to Tommy Richman’s “Million Dollar Baby,” while Eberechi Eze can’t get enough of “Last Heartbreak Song” by Ayra Starr and Giveon.

John Stones, a house music aficionado, revealed his pick: “Yamore” by Moblack. “It’s house as well. I love house music, I love the feeling of it,” Stones explained.

But not everyone’s taste is universally loved. Kieran Trippier spilled some tea about Jordan Pickford’s playlist: “Pickford’s into rave music. His music is horrendous,” he joked.

Pickford’s eclectic taste includes tracks from Bastille to John Legend, The Courteeners’ “Not Nineteen Forever,” Lucy Spraggan’s “Tea And Toast,” Kanye West’s “All Of The Lights,” and Ed Sheeran’s “Castle On The Hill.”

In other news, the football anthem “Three Lions” is making a strong bid for the top spot on the UK charts, thanks to England’s triumphant journey to the Euro 2024 final. Bookmakers are predicting a showdown between David Baddiel, Frank Skinner and The Lightning Seeds’ “Three Lions,” Neil Diamond’s classic “Sweet Caroline,” and Fat Les’ “Vindaloo.”

This follows England’s exhilarating victory on July 10, with Ollie Watkins scoring a last-minute goal, propelling the Three Lions to the final against Spain on July 14.

Originally released in 1996, “Three Lions” has a history of climbing the charts, notably hitting number one during the 2018 World Cup.

The O2 Arena in London has announced it will host the city’s largest screening of the UEFA Euro 2024 finals, complete with a free ballot for entry.

Even celebrities are getting in on the football fever. Adele and Ed Sheeran were spotted cheering on the team during their semi-final match against the Netherlands.

Meanwhile, The Killers paused their London concert to catch the final minutes of the game, celebrating England’s win by belting out “Mr. Brightside” right after.
