Charli XCX: Beyond the Beats

Charli XCX is ready to flex her creative muscles beyond the music world. Fresh off the success of her album "Brat," which has been the soundtrack of the summer, the pop maven has revealed that she’s itching to explore new artistic avenues.

“I would like to flex my creative muscles on other areas. I don’t envisage myself making music forever,” Charli confessed to The Sun's Bizarre column. “Maybe I will in some capacity, but I just feel like there are other creative areas I really want to explore.”

And what might those new frontiers be? Well, Hollywood, here she comes! Charli is set to make her acting debut in the remake of the cult '70s horror flick "Faces of Death." The original film was a controversial, documentary-style exploration of some of the most gruesome murders, banned in several countries for its graphic content.

“I was a fan of the original movie,” Charli shared. “I saw that this film was being remade by a director, Daniel Goldhaber. We met and we spoke, and he was like, ‘You should be in it’. I was like, ‘Wow, that’s crazy’… I really got the bug from that.”

This isn't the first time Charli has caught the attention of a Hollywood star. Kyle MacLachlan, known for his iconic role in "Twin Peaks," recently praised Charli’s work. He even reimagined his Instagram profile to mirror the bright and compelling artwork of "Brat," going so far as to call his "Twin Peaks" character “Brat-coded.”

Charli's venture into acting is just the beginning. As she continues to break boundaries and redefine her career, fans can expect a lot more from this multitalented artist. With her eye for the unexpected and a knack for reinvention, Charli XCX proves that she’s not just a pop star—she’s a creative force to be reckoned with.
