Pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter has just announced her newest album, "Short N’ Sweet", sending waves of excitement through her fanbase. The "Espresso" singer took to social media to share the news, along with a striking album cover featuring her against a royal blue backdrop, complete with a playful lipstick stain on her shoulder.
“‘Short n’ Sweet’ MY NEW ALBUM IS COMING OUT AUGUST 23rd! This project is quite special to me and I hope it’ll be something special to you too. You can preorder it now!” Carpenter wrote in her post.
Adding to the buzz, she teased a special surprise set for Thursday, June 6, urging fans to “keep an eye out!!” The album, available via Island Records, is already up for pre-order and pre-save.
Carpenter has been making headlines recently, notably for her cheeky response to the BBC's request to keep her performance “PG” at Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2024. During her May 26 performance at Stockwood Park, Luton, she playfully ad-libbed during the outro of "Nonsense": “BBC said I should keep it PG / BBC I wish I had it in me,” followed by a coy gesture and the line, “There’s a double meaning if you dig deep,” ending with a kiss blown to the crowd.
She also delighted fans by thanking them for keeping her hit ‘Espresso’ at Number One on the UK Singles Chart for an entire month, besting Billie Eilish’s "LUNCH". “What the hell was that about, you guys?” she joked. “I was really concerned because I was like, ‘Surely the UK only drinks tea. They would never drink Espresso.’”
In another highlight, Carpenter joined Coldplay on stage for a duet of their song "Magic". Earlier, Chris Martin gave a nod to her hit by singing “that’s that me espresso” at the end of Coldplay’s "Fix You".
Even global superstar Adele has become a fan, calling "Espresso" “my jam” and admitting she sings it while getting into bed. Carpenter responded with a witty tweet: “All I read was Adele thinks about me in bed <3.”
