Jamie xx Returns with the Album "In Waves'"

British producer Jamie xx has officially announced the release of his highly anticipated second studio album, "In Waves." Set to drop on September 20 via his own label, Young, the album follows his critically acclaimed debut, "In Colour," which captivated audiences and critics alike back in 2015.

"In Colour," known for its genre-blending tracks like the infectious "I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times)" featuring Young Thug and Popcaan, and the soulful "Loud Places" with The xx bandmate Romy, marked a significant milestone in Jamie xx's career. The album not only received widespread praise but also nominated for Grammy and Mercury Prize awards, reaching the top 5 of the UK album chart.

The announcement of "In Waves" is accompanied by the release of a new single, "Treat Each Other Right," complete with a visually stunning music video directed by Rosie Marks. This track follows the May release of "Baddy on the Floor," a collaboration with the dynamic Honey Dijon, giving fans a taste of the vibrant energy and introspective depth expected from the new album.

Sharing his excitement on Instagram, Jamie xx revealed the album's artwork, saying, “My new album, In Waves will be out on September 20th. I am so unbelievably happy. It’s been a while…and a lot has happened in that time. Ups and downs, growing up, figuring stuff out and then forgetting it all many times over. Life changing events and world changing events. These waves that we have all experienced together and alone.

“I wanted to make something fun, joyful and introspective all at once. The best moments on a dance floor are usually that for me. I can’t wait to share it with you.”

In support of "In Waves," Jamie xx will embark on a summer and fall tour, hitting major festivals including Glastonbury, Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago, HARD Summer in Los Angeles, Portola in San Francisco, and III Points in Miami. Fans can look forward to experiencing the new album's vibrant tracks live, promising unforgettable moments on the dance floor.
