Spotify’s On Fire! The Weeknd’s Dancing In The Flames Is Pure Heat

On September 20th, TopHit dropped the Top Spotify Hits Global Weekly Chart for the week ending September 19, 2024.

The Spotify Global Weekly Chart top new releases are:

Coming in at number 12 is the week’s hottest debut. Playboi Carti, the American rapper, dropped All Red, the lead single from his upcoming third studio album I Am Music. This track marks a shift from Carti’s signature baby voice, as he adopts a deeper vocal tone that fans are likening to Future, a pioneer in autotune and trap. With 23 million streams already, it's clearly striking a chord.

Meanwhile, at number 13, Canadian R&B superstar The Weeknd continues his reign. His latest hit Dancing In The Flames has racked up over 21 million streams and counting.

In 30th place is a new track from the artist behind the mega-hit Greedy. Tate McRae has returned with a radio-friendly pop song It's Ok I'm Ok, co-written by top hitmakers Ryan Tedder and Ilya Salmanzadeh. The song has already been compared to Britney Spears' timeless hit Oops!... I Did It Again.

And here’s how the top five most spun tracks on the Global Spotify are stacking up today:

1. Die With A Smile - Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars

2. Birds Of A Feather - Billie Eilish

3. Taste - Sabrina Carpenter

4. Who - Jimin

5. Espresso - Sabrina Carpenter

Last week, 80% of tracks on the air were in English, 16% in Spanish, with PopPower PopAlternative and R&B reigning as the most popular genres.
